The National Lottery of Ireland has been growing and developing its product range ever since it offered its flagship game, Lotto, in March 1988.
And, aside from the main Irish Lotto game, Daily Million has become one of the most popular games to come out from the organisation. Indeed, the popularity of the Irish Daily Million has spread far beyond just Éire, with many players from the UK and beyond also choosing to bet on the outcome of the draw at bookmakers such as Betfred, BoyleSports and Coral.
Irish Daily Million History
The Irish Daily Million was launched in September 2012, serving to replace the National Lottery’s former games, Monday Million and All Or Nothing.
Monday Million, as the name indicates, was a weekly draw with a €1 million prize on offer. All Or Nothing, meanwhile, was a daily draw that offered prizes up to €500,000.
However, the purpose of the new Daily Million game was to take the best features of each game (i.e. big jackpots and daily draws) and compile them into one single game: Daily Million.
How to Play (or Bet on) Daily Million From The UK & Ireland
There are two Irish Daily Million main draws every day, one at 2pm and one at 9pm (UK and Irish time). For players in Ireland buying a ticket, they need to select six numbers (from 1 to 39) and if they predict all the numbers correctly, they’ll win the €1 million fixed jackpot prize.
It needs to be noted though, that entering the official Daily Million draw is only possible for Irish residents.
But don’t worry, all is not lost if you live in the UK... as you can bet on the outcome of the Daily Million draw with a number of trusted bookmakers who will pay out your winnings directly. Read our guide for how to bet on the Daily Million from the UK. Customers from Ireland can also choose to Bet on the Daily Million draw if they wish.
What’s more, if you bet on Daily Million from the UK or Ireland, you get even more choice as you can customise your bet, including how much you want to bet (and therefore potentially win) and even select how many numbers you want to pick!
